Historical Home in Franklin Square Historic District. Built
in 1835 and known as the Bonesteel-Mott House. Mott was known
to have built more shipping vessels in Oswego than any other
man. This house has one of the finest Greek Revival Entry ways
with its recessed front doorway, fluted Ionic columns, and double,
iron-railed stairway. Home of the Mott family for over 100 years.
Former home of State Assemblyman William Lewis. Extra large
yard surrounded by the original stone wall and iron fence. A
rare copper beech tree, one of the Oswego landmarks, still remains
on the property today. Mosaic tiled entrance with etched glass
double door entry leads to a spectacular foyer with an open
winding stair case and wall. Remodeled in the 70's but much
of the original woodwork remains. Large roomy apartments with
plenty of storage. Beautiful hardwood floors with some carpeting.
Separate thermostats in each apartment to control heat. Heat
is included in the rent. Natural gas hot water heaters. Electric
ranges. On site laundry facilities. Off street parking. Snow
and trash removal. Lawn maintenance. Walking distance to business
